The seventh commandment forbids to take or retain the good of others unjustly, and prejudice in any way the neighbor for their goods. It prescribes the justice and charity in the management of earthly goods and the fruits of the labour of men. With a view to the common good requires respect for the universal destination of the goods and the right to private property. The Christian life strives to order the goods of this world to God and to fraternal charity.
